Friday Fab Five!!!!
Every Friday I will try to post my 5 what-ifs of wrestlers, storylines, or nostalgia acts. This week my FAB Five will be:
5. Curtis Axel
Curtis Axel who is apart of The B-Team with Bo Dallas needs a flash back to his original character of being a technical wrestler that had a mean side. If he was able to go back to this he would have better storylines against a-lot of the current mid-card talent like Robert Roode, Chad Gable, Andrade, Ali, and Ricohet just to name a few. This change is needed because as a fan I know he is very talented. He does not need to be used as filler or jobber. He should be taken seriously.
4. Shinsuke Nakamura
"The Architect" aka "The Rockstar" needs to go back to his days from NXT when he would just demolish his opponents. As I write this Nakamura has not been seen on Main TV in weeks. Once he was called up from NXT to the main roster, he was barely used and put in mediocre rivalries or storylines. If he was allowed to go back to his original character, I believe he would be over with the fans all over again and he would be able to prove his longevity.
3. Sonya Deville
Sonya Deville has a bright future in WWE but she needs to be allowed to show her MMA skills in the ring. Allowing her to do this on the main roster will make her be taken seriously, have better feuds with other female wrestlers and let her talent shine. Right now she is being used as a valet for Mandy Rose which is not a good thing for Deville. She needs to be on her own so she can organically grow into the superstar she is meant to be. She has the look, skillset, and mic skills to be a great WWE Champ one day.
2. Rusev
Rusev when making his main roster debut was called "The Bulgarian Brute". 5 years later he is nowhere to be found, like all the other superstars he went from being a powerhouse brute and feared wrestler to now being a jobber or comedic act. Rusev is a 2 time US Champ, IC Champ and a force. He needs to go back to this, it will be better for him as a character and re-establish himself as someone to be taken seriously again.
1. Braun Strowman
The Monster Among Men is a force and crowd favorite. Yet every-time I think he is being taken seriously, he gets put into a comedic segment or squash matches. Braun being one of my favs right now deserves to be allowed to show why he is the Monster Among Men. He was not much of a talker but more a destroyer of all superstars and didnt care what he did as long as he had a path of destruction around him. Like Sonya he deserves a title and sooner rather than later.
These 5 all deserve to go back to their original gimmicks but the only way that happens is if upper management takes off their blinders and see whats in front of them. For these 5 I hope they get the recognition
they deserve.
FAB FIVE Superstars That Need to Go Back to their Old Gimmick
